Department of Radiodiagnosis was inaugurated on June 20, 2019 by Dr. Vijayabaskar, Health and Family welfare Minister.
The event was preceded by Dr. Beulah Rajesh, IAS – Health Secretary of TN along with Dean, Dr. R. Narayana Babu, Dr. Edwin Joe, Directorate of Medical education and Dr. R. Jayanthi, Dean of Madras Medical College, HOD of Radiodiagnosis, Dr. B. Suhasini and faculties of Radiodiagnosis of Govt. Omandurar Medical College.
The inauguration program also had model display of various Radiological equipments like X-ray units, CT scan, MRI, Cath Lab, Mammogram and Ultrasound. Students actively participated in the event explaining the importance of each equipment and the way each functions and helps in diagnosis various illness.
